Auto-Enrolment

Since 2018, every employer in the UK (that is around 1.35 million businesses) has been required to automatically enrol their workers on workplace pension schemes.

This new system – named Auto-Enrolment – is being phased in over a number of years and will see pension contributions shared between employees, employers and the government.

Every business will have a staging date, by which the business must have a workplace pension scheme in place and offered to its employees.
